After waking up this morning, my gorgeous children brought me homemade cards, and the gifts my husband had picked out. All of it was exactly what I wanted – my family and their thoughtfulness.

My mother is coming via airplane to visit in a few hours.

I get to spend a few hours at work tonight with a wild pack of teenagers who I love.

I’ve had a smoothie and will get a cup of coffee momentarily, which I will enjoy in peace and quiet (other than the sounds of roofing nail guns down the street) sitting next to my sunny window.

I’m going to order cupcakes as soon as the bakery opens.

If the scariest thing today is that I start sharing the link to this blog with people in my life, that’ll be good. Turning thirty-five isn’t so bad.

Comments are wonderful, but the sun doesn't rise and set upon them. Share your thoughts, or merely ponder them in your heart. I'm glad you're here, either way.
